Michel Is a Director

He has worked in film and television for over twenty-five years

Michel started his film and television career as a Production Assistant on Tommy Boy  in Toronto during the 1990's. He went on to receive Assistant Director credits on such films as The Virgin Suicides, Detroit Rock City and Me and My Shadows: The Judy Garland Story. 

A scholarship from the Directors Guild of Canada allowed him to attend Sheridan College's Advanced Television and Film program in 2000 / 2001 where he made the critically acclaimed, award winning short, "Second Hand". The film screened at several festivals, toured with TIFF's Canadian Reflections Series and landed a five-year contract for broadcast on CBC Network Television. 

He relocated to Ottawa in 2002 where new opportunities allowed him to pick up additional skills as a Location Manager and  as a Production Manager. He has also worked as a Writer and as a Director in Corporate Videos. His first love is creating narratives though, so he uses much of his down time, when he can get it, to write theatrical screenplays.
